AIVO Learning is built for neurodiverse learners, so accessibility is core product work, not an afterthought. This page states our target, the assistive-technology combinations we have actually tested, and our known limitations. "Supported" appears here only next to a combination we tested, with a date. Where we have not tested, we say "not yet tested" instead of guessing.
Our target
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Conformance is measured by testing, and our current evidence is published below. An external accessibility audit and a resulting Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) are planned. No ACR is available today, and we do not claim one.
What we build for
These commitments apply across the web app, the mobile app, and the learner experience:
- Full keyboard operation with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Screen-reader semantics: names on all controls, live announcements for asynchronous status, and state on toggles.
- Switch access and read-aloud as first-class inputs in learner journeys.
- Motion that honors reduced-motion preferences, with learner motion budgets that scale down to fully static.
- Reflow without horizontal scrolling at 320px width and 400% zoom.
- Status and confidence conveyed with icons and written labels, never color alone.
- Touch targets of at least 44px, larger in learner surfaces.
- Accessibility features are never paywalled.
Tested assistive-technology combinations
| Technology | Environment | Result | Tested |
|---|---|---|---|
| NVDA 2026.1 | Chrome 128, Windows 11 | Passes core journeys | July 2026 |
| JAWS 2026 | Edge 128, Windows 11 | Passes core journeys | July 2026 |
| VoiceOver | Safari, iOS 19 | Passes learner journeys | June 2026 |
| TalkBack | AIVO app, Android 16 | Partial, one known issue | July 2026 |
| Switch scanning (2-switch) | Learner app, iPadOS 19 | Passes learner journeys | July 2026 |
| Dragon voice control | Chrome, Windows 11 | Not yet tested | Not yet tested |
Combinations we intend to cover but have not yet tested, including AAC devices and eye-gaze systems, are listed as not yet tested until real results exist.
Known limitations
- TalkBack support on Android is partial: one known issue is open and being fixed. We publish the current state here rather than claiming full support.
- Assistive technologies we have not yet tested are labeled "not yet tested" above. Absence of a test result is not a claim of support.
Report a barrier
If something on AIVO is hard or impossible for you or your learner to use, tell us at [email protected]. Barrier reports that block learning are prioritized first. We confirm receipt and tell you what we found and what we changed.
Documentation for procurement
Schools and districts can request our current accessibility test evidence at [email protected]. A formal ACR will be published after the planned external audit completes, and not before.
