Aivo Learning
How it works

One assessment. A Virtual Brain. A learning experience that adapts to every child.

AIVO builds a private model of how each learner learns, then lets 14 AI tutors teach to it — adapting pace, modality, and sensory load in real time, with IEP-aligned progress everyone can see.

In short

What is AIVO and how does it work?

AIVO is an adaptive AI learning platform built for neurodiverse K–12 learners. A parent or teacher completes a short, calm assessment. AIVO uses it to build a Virtual Brain — a living model of how a child learns best — and 14 subject tutors adapt their pacing, examples, and sensory presentation to that profile in real time. Progress is mapped to IEP-style goals and shared with families, teachers, and schools. Learner data is never used to train third-party AI models.

How it works, step by step

A calm, four-step path that adapts to each learner — set up by a grown-up, driven by the child.

  1. 1

    A grown-up sets the stage

Parents or teachers complete a short, calm assessment about strengths, interests, sensory needs, and goals — no testing pressure on the child.

It takes about ten minutes. Existing IEP goals can be imported or added so AIVO aligns with the plan a child already has.

A starting picture of the learner
  2. 2

    AIVO builds a Virtual Brain

AIVO turns the assessment and a gentle baseline discovery into a living profile of how the child learns best — pace, preferred modalities, and sensory comfort.

The Virtual Brain updates as the learner works, tuning difficulty, pacing, modality, and sensory presentation. It stays private to the learner and their guardians.

    A living, private learner model
  3. 3

The child learns with a tutor

Cloud Coach and 14 subject tutors teach to the Virtual Brain, adapting examples, pacing, and breaks in real time — no timers, no pressure.

Sensory-friendly modes reduce visual noise and motion, while human oversight, content filtering, and prompt minimization keep the experience safe.

    Real-time, personalized teaching
  4. 4

    Everyone sees progress

Clear dashboards and IEP-aligned goals keep families, teachers, and schools in sync on what is working — and what to try next.

Progress monitoring maps to measurable goals, so reviews and reporting are grounded in evidence rather than guesswork.

    Shared, IEP-ready insight

What powers the experience

The building blocks behind every adaptive session.

The Virtual Brain

A per-learner model that captures how a child learns and tunes every session to it.

14 adaptive tutors

Subject specialists that adjust pacing, examples, and modality to the learner in real time.

Sensory-aware design

Calm, low-distraction modes with control over motion, contrast, and visual load.

IEP-aligned goals

Map learning to measurable goals and monitor progress against the child's plan.

Insight dashboards

Plain-language progress for families and standards-aligned views for educators.

Human-in-the-loop AI

Oversight, content filtering, and no third-party model training on learner data.

Where your data goes — and where it doesn't

Personalization that stays private by design.

  1. 01

    Collected with consent

Assessment and learning signals are gathered with parent or school authorization.

  2. 02

    Used to personalize

Those signals power the learner's Virtual Brain and the tutors' real-time adaptation.

  3. 03

    Kept private

Learner data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never sold or rented.

  4. 04

    Never trains outside models

We do not use learner data to train or fine-tune any third-party foundation model.

The AIVO Adaptive Intelligence Engine (AIVO's proprietary decision layer) decides what to teach, how to adapt it, and which approved supports to use. Tutor dialogue and lesson text are generated through contracted model providers. AIVO does not operate a proprietary foundation model in production.

AIVO never infers emotions and never makes diagnoses. It adapts from observable learning signals: practice results, response patterns, chosen breaks, and supports adults approve.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to what families, educators, and IT teams ask most.

What is a Virtual Brain?

A Virtual Brain is AIVO's per-learner model of how a child learns best — their pace, preferred modalities, and sensory comfort. It is built from a short assessment and a gentle baseline, updates as the learner works, and stays private to the learner and their guardians.

How does AIVO personalize learning?

AIVO's 14 subject tutors teach to the Virtual Brain, adjusting difficulty, pacing, examples, modality, and sensory presentation in real time. There are no timers or time pressure, and sensory-friendly modes reduce visual noise and motion.

Is AIVO suitable for neurodiverse learners?

Yes. AIVO is engineered for neurodiverse K–12 learners, with calm, low-distraction design, sensory controls, and IEP-aligned goals so learning fits the plan a child already has.

Does AIVO use my child's data to train AI models?

No. AIVO does not use personally identifiable learner data — including chats, assessments, or learning data — to train, fine-tune, or improve any third-party AI foundation model, and learner data is never sold or rented.

How does AIVO approach COPPA and FERPA?

AIVO is built to align with COPPA and FERPA. For institutions, AIVO acts as a school official under FERPA and offers a District Agreement and Data Processing Addendum. See the Privacy Policy and Trust Center for details.

How does AIVO support IEPs?

Families and schools can align learning to IEP-style goals and monitor progress against them, so reviews and reporting are grounded in measurable evidence.

How do schools and districts deploy AIVO?

AIVO supports school and district rollout with SSO and rostering, role-based admin controls, security and accessibility documentation, and a DPA — so IT and procurement teams can adopt it with confidence.

How much does AIVO cost?

Families can start free with no credit card. School and district pricing is tailored to size and needs — see the pricing page or talk to our team.
