This Cookie Policy explains how Aivo AI Learning Technologies Inc. ("AIVO," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on aivolearning.com, app.aivolearning.com, help.aivolearning.com, and our mobile and tablet applications (together, the "Services"). It lists the technologies we actually use today. If our use changes, this policy changes first, and any technology that requires consent will not be set until a consent mechanism is in place.

1. What These Technologies Are
Where this policy uses the word "cookie," we mean any technology that stores or reads information on your device, including HTTP cookies (small text files), HTML5 local and session storage, and app local storage on mobile devices. Cookies may be session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (they remain until they expire or you delete them). Every cookie we set today is first-party, set by AIVO itself.
2. Children's Surfaces Are Treated Differently
- Child-directed surfaces (the learning experience and pages directed to learners) use only strictly necessary technologies: sign-in, session integrity, and essential preferences. No advertising, behavioral-tracking, or third-party marketing cookies are placed on learner pages or any pages directed to children.
- Adult-facing surfaces (marketing site, pricing, parent and educator apps) currently use the same limited set. We do not set analytics, advertising, or targeting cookies anywhere on the Services today.
We never combine data from any cookie with a learner's learning data for advertising purposes.
3. The Cookies We Set
This is the complete list of cookies AIVO sets today. If we add a cookie, we update this list first.

We also use browser local storage for interface state (for example, remembering whether a navigation panel is collapsed) and app local storage in the mobile apps to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support offline use. These store no advertising identifiers.
We do not use: analytics cookies, advertising or targeting cookies, marketing pixels, email tracking pixels, third-party cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind, on any surface.
4. Mobile Platform Identifiers
- Apple iOS / iPadOS and Google Android. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID) anywhere in the Services, including learner experiences.
- Push tokens. If you enable notifications, a push token is used solely to deliver the service notifications you opted into. It is deleted when the device unregisters.
You can manage app permissions and clear app storage in your device settings.
5. Your Choices
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and core functionality.
- Consent. Because we set no non-essential third-party cookies today, no cookie consent banner is currently required or shown. If we ever introduce technologies that require consent, we will obtain that consent before setting them and honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required.
6. Managing Cookies in Common Browsers
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Clear browsing data.
- Apple Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data / Block all cookies.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
- Mobile browsers: see the privacy settings within the app.
Clearing cookies removes your saved preferences, including your language choice.
7. Retention
Cookie durations are listed in Section 3. Session cookies are deleted when your session ends; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Data collected via cookies is retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision, and the inventory in Section 3 is updated before any new technology ships. Material changes are communicated as described in our Privacy Policy.
